PASSION. EXPERIENCE. DEMONSTRABLE PERFORMANCE.
RELEVANCY MEASURED IN WEEKS, NOT YEARS.
Xray Alpha instructors have spent decades being sent to all of the hot-beds of action, hunting the enemies of the United States. We actively put our training to the test on a regular cycle, and consistently send ourselves into the fray.
Xray Alpha training is driven from the passion of its founders to relay the most effective training and tactics to enable our students to save others, protect their families, and protect this nation. We are driven to serve those who seek quality training.
You will find that most of our training isn’t performed in full kit. Xray Alpha believes in a layered approach to training. We strip away distractions and unnecessary theatrics to isolate skills that must be performed at speed at a level of perfection that we call “faster than real life”. By doing this, we can compare ourselves to other world-class shooters in a standardized environment and truly master the basics while pushing towards the physical limits of what is possible.
Even if you’re not a competitive shooter, you should train with a practical setup and use that as a metric to see what is possible. Then with a moderate level of consistency you can start layering training with distractions and complexities. Never use the excuse of being a tactical shooter to be slow.
THE TACTICAL SHOOTER HAS MORE OF A REASON FOR SPEED THAN THE COMPETITIVE SHOOTER.
OUR TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
MINDSET
Finding individuals with the correct mindset needs to be a formal process. It cannot be accomplished on the range. It is accomplished by forcing students or candidates into an extremely stressful situation where they must, though their own force of will, continue the task at hand.
The trials that test you throughout a lifetime create a mindset that is conducive to effectively engaging a threat. Consistently embracing adversity and pushing through it will directly improve your ability to maintain focused and effective decision making, despite intense pressure in chaotic situations.
TACTICAL PROWESS
Applying hard-skills in a tactical environment is a natural step up from a flat range training plan. Xray Alpha sets the stage to demonstrate where specific hard-skill training elements apply to a tactical environment.
Training for the use of a broad range of skill sets in a tactical application is nuanced and must be separated from hard-skill training as to not detract from the effectiveness of both.
HARD SKILLS
XA focuses on the specific skills directly involved with quickly and accurately engaging threats with pistols and carbines.
XA takes away the additional stressors that a full mission profile training session would involve and concentrates on a specific task at a time. It is then tested in scenarios that bring these skills together.
Similar to how a field-goal kicker practices catching, setting, lining up, and making the actual kick as individual events, rather than relying on the few opportunities he would receive in a game or scrimmage, we practice isolated skills thousands of times for every single time it needs to be done for real.
